I just got a call to fill in for a band at Sanford’s Black Swan Tavern for Saturday, June 26th (tomorrow as I’m sending this) starting at 8pm.  Quite a compliment for a solo act to be asked to cover for a band; now my Imaginary Friends will have even bigger heads!  I’ve wanted to perform at The Black Swan (formerly the Emerald Hen) for some time now.  I love my restaurant gigs, but it’s been awhile since I’ve performed at a pub...always a good time and with my liquid refreshments of choice served in pints (just like “the gift of life”, bloody marvelous).  In other words, it could be a late night...I’ll keep an extra mike handy for impromptu improvisations in case my imaginary friends over-imbibe and for real friends who have not yet reached their limit. 

Central Florida rock history/trivia:  The last time that I played music for Terry (co-proprietor of Black Swan Tavern) was many years ago at Off the Edge, a now defunct, industrial strength rock club across from the Rinker cement plant on Clarcona-Ocoee Road.  For once and in this instance, I’ll leave the analogies, satire, puns, and synchronicities to you all.

Of course, don’t forget that I perform at Stone’s Throw Bistro in Sanford Friday, June 25, (tonight as I type) starting at 7pm.  There is no better place to enjoy edible art and fine cuisine (from Best Emerging Chef, Rich), excellent service (from 2 Mikes and a Maria), and live acoustic music (from FF&IF) than at Stone’s Throw Bistro.
